Youth Development Programmes

A series of workshops and programmes for young people aged 12 to 24 years. Supporting young people to develop the skills and attitudes they need to take a positive part in society, now and in the future. These programmes provide young people with leadership, volunteering and mentoring experiences, leading to confident participation in their community.  

 

Workshops for 2017/2018 will include:

Focus on teamwork to create urban art in the community.
Peer Support programme, training senior High School Students as Peer Leaders to support Year 9 Students as they begin their transition into High School.
Exploration of techniques and medium, encouraging personal reflection and expression, connecting with culture and community.
Involving young people in meaningful volunteer work, strengthening hospitality, employment and life skills.
Learn production techniques, create original music and record own backing tracks.
A supportive forum allowing a safe, non-judgemental environment for Mums to develop skills and attitudes around issues important to them.
…and ethical decision making, equipping young people with the knowledge and skills they need to make safe relationship decisions for themselves and others. Empowering youth to take an upstanding leadership role among their peers and their community.
